Plan Commission Meeting
Through my internship with the city of Champaign, I have been able to practice my public speaking skills by presenting to the Plan Commission. In this specific case, I presented on the final plat of a detention basin. The basin was completed, but its underlying lot lines still reflected the residential properties that once existed on the site. The plat that I was presenting modified those boundaries to mimic the extent of the basin. This was done so that the lots would not be erroneously referenced in the future.
